Human

I'm caught in the cosmic web
thoughtless and immobile
the motions of life turning their wheels

the souls of the universes
take their Earthly forms
to invent their realities
and create this global show

After all, the smokescreen fades
and the joke was..
It was just pretend, with no memory
..cue curtains

I watch the creatures of the Earth
grow, decay, and burst with emotions
a beautiful display for all to see

and yet nothing couples the experience
of living in the now
feeling the stretch of reality
and all it's emotions in this human form:

While time stands still for me
my brothers grow older across the globe

And the distant memory of family
and childhood reclaims its place in the present

A language barrier that thirsts to be broken
and to drink the love of kin

and be part of that picture again.

..cue emotion
